Insurance

This section gives access to the insurance sector legislation of the Republic of Armenia. The main objectives of this Law shall be to protect the rights of policyholders, insured persons, and beneficiaries; to ensure sustainable development of the insurance system, its reliability and normal operation; and to create equal conditions for free economic competition between entities undertaking insurance activities.

Law on “Insurance and Insurance Activities” adopted on 2007 regulates the relations arising out of undertaking and implementing of insurance, reinsurance and insurance intermediation activities; establishment, licensing, operation and termination of operation of insurance companies, reinsurance companies and insurance intermediaries; public oversight of insurance, reinsurance, insurance intermediation activities; and other relations associated with insurance in the Republic of Armenia. This section also gives access to the legal acts of Central bank adopted based on these laws.
